(Responding to this post about old fandom terms)
I think mostly people know what they mean but don’t use them? IDK, I’m familiar with almost all of them (and the ones I’m not familiar with are the fandom-specific ones like “Wapanese”). And I’m not that old.
Or am I fooling myself about my age?
Though a couple of those words are terms I see on tumblr every day. Jossed? Plot bunny? Whump? Gen?
Anyway, I kinda wish the Fandom Wank community was still alive, now that I’m actually lurking closer to the center of fandom, not just around the edges.
…I just today posted about how I don’t like arguments anymore, didn’t I. I can resolve this seeming contradiction! some other time.
