reading the Headscratchers page for Narnia on TV Tropes

Headscratchers, for those that don't want to get stuck on TV Tropes for the rest of the day, is where you discuss things that you think don't make sense. On the Narnia page, among questions such as "Why has no technological development occurred in all that time?" and "Why does Narnia's fate hinge entirely on humans from our universe?" is this:

Why doesn't Santa give me cool weapons for Christmas?

Help! I've fallen into TV Tropes and I can't get up!

TV Tropes is the most amazing time suck ever. It's like going into Trader Joe's intending to buy milk and coming out an hour later with a full grocery cart. One does not simply walk into TV Tropes and expect to get out again easily. It's very seductive.

Seductive is a good word for it. I still remember the first couple of times I got linked to TV Tropes. At some point, I looked at the time, and discovered I'd been on there for about 5 hours. These days, I just don't follow the links unless I have that time. Not necessarily 5 hours, but enough time to get some of it out of my system, because once something gets opened, it's like my eyes have a strong magnet pulling them to the screen.
