I have been remiss in documenting sisterly bonding!

I don’t remember if I said this before, but we finished Leverage at some point. The last episode made S so miserable that I caved and told her the twist halfway through. After that, we were going to continue watching Rebels, but the childishness of it was too much.

So we’re watching the MCU movies instead. Half a movie a night, on average, and instead of doing Watch-Read-Watch-Read, we’re doing Watch-Watch-Read-Read. We watched Thor 2 yesterday. S thinks Loki is great, but that he can’t be redeemed. She is, of course, objectively correct. She also loves Pepper and Natasha, which proves she is wise beyond her years. Also, she kept calling Jane Foster Padme, it was great.

On the reading front, we finished Two Towers and started RotK. The end of TT went kind of like this:

Me [reading]: “She doesn’t eat dead meat, nor suck cold blood. This fellow isn’t dead!”

S: What?! What did you just say???

Me: “This fellow isn’t dead.” :D :D :D

After that, the cliffhanger of cliffhangers just made her sigh wearily.

We’re only about halfway into the first chapter of RotK, but this has already happened:

Denethor: My Boromir! Now we have need of you. Faramir should have gone in his stead.

S: Excuse me?! Did you just say…?

Me: Yeah… he didn’t quite mean it that way. Probably. Maybe.

Next time, we’ll have Beregond. And then back to Aragorn, and towards the Paths of the Dead. :)
