It’s midnight. I’m turning into a pumpkin, right on schedule.

 

I saw more Veronica Mars yesterday, like most Sundays. I’m not sure what makes that show so compelling. Partly it’s the understated angst - I’m a sucker for characters that have truckloads of shit thrown at them and still get up and laugh. 

Yeah. I mean you. And, you know, everyone else on the show, but Logan has the best one-liners.

 

We’re up to 2.08 now, and I’m not altogether fond of the Season 2 plots. There’s just too much stuff going on. I am especially not fond of all of the summer flashbacks. I kind of wish the show had just picked up where it left off, instead of jumping forwards and then trying to catch us up to what happened in that interval. As things stand, I mostly understand Logan and Veronica’s breakup, but Veronica and Duncan getting together still feels unintuitive. When Logan and Veronica got together, I knew basically what Veronica thought about Logan. Duncan? Not so much.

 

Also, I miss Lilly. She was a tangible presence even when she wasn’t starring in various dreams, memories, and hallucinations, and I wish they talked about her more in Season 2. Just because we know who murdered her doesn’t mean we don’t care about her anymore!
