A terrible, terrible thing has happened.

 

I have gotten sucked into a new fandom.

 

I blame my dash.

 

Way back when Game of Thrones was about to air and suddenly the books were everywhere, I read the first book… and I didn’t like it. The Arya storyline bored me, Jon irritated me, most of the characters were evil dickbags, and I found most of it deeply unmemorable. (I am sure the fact that I read it in one sitting, stuck in an airport with nothing else to do, after fighting with my parents, had nothing to do with my attitude. Nope. Nothing.) And, of course, I felt deeply betrayed by Ned Stark’s death. I actually liked this one! I put down the book, finally got on the plane, and rolled my eyes every time someone ranted about how amazing the books or the series was.

 

Fast forward to this May. My dash is suddenly covered with gifs of Sansa and Jon hugging. Gifs of them talking in front of a fire. Gifsets that fairly scream, delicious yummy canon hurt/comfort here. Reunions are a weak spot of mine, you see. So are reveals, and there was clearly lots of reveal possibility there. 

 

Yeah.

 

I haven’t actually been watching in order, I’ve been sort of skipping around, frolicking in the storylines. Watch all the Tyrion scenes in season 4. Watch all the Daenerys scenes from early on in season 6. Wait, but how did she get to this point? Read the wiki to figure that out. Some things from the wiki seem kind of interesting. Watch just those bits. And so on.
